How to Press Sublimation Gang Sheet Transfers

  1. Set heat press to 400°F. Pressure: medium-firm.

  2. Pre-press garment 5 seconds to remove moisture.

  3. Place transfer face down. Use heat tape.

  4. Press 45-60 seconds. Time varies by blank.

  5. Peel hot. No cold peel needed.

For hard goods like mugs or tiles, use the blank manufacturer’s time and temp. Poly-coated surfaces cure differently.

What You Can Press with Sublimation Printing

It’s not just tees. Sublimation works on anything with a poly coating or high polyester count.

  • Apparel: 100% poly shirts, jerseys, performance wear

  • Hard goods: Mugs, tumblers, phone cases, aluminum panels

  • Fabric items: Mousepads, flags, tote bags, socks

  • Oddballs: Poly-coated wood, puzzles, license plates

If it’s cotton, it won’t take. If it’s dark, the dye won’t show. That’s when you pivot to UV DTF stickers or traditional DTF.

Why Shops Choose DTF Gang Roll for Sublimation

We’ve printed over 4.3 million feet of transfers since 2021. That kind of volume breaks machines, teaches you about humidity, and forces you to dial in color profiles.

So your reds don’t turn orange. Your gradients don’t band. And your reprints stay under 0.6%.

Plus, we ship same-day if you order before 1pm CST. Ground delivery hits most of the US in 2-3 days from our Texas hub.

Frequently Asked Questions

A sublimation gang sheet is a long roll where you combine multiple designs to maximize space. You upload art, we print with dye-sub ink, and you press the transfer at 400°F. The dye turns into gas and bonds with polyester. It’s cheaper per print than singles.

No. Sublimation only binds to polyester or poly-coated surfaces. On cotton, it’ll wash out after one cycle. For cotton or dark garments, use DTF transfers instead. We stock those too at DTF Gang Roll.

Send PNG with transparent background or PDF at 300 DPI. Keep files in CMYK or RGB — we convert. Outline all fonts. Flatten layers. Max upload for 70" Wide sheets is 300MB per file.

When pressed correctly on 100% poly, they last the life of the garment. No cracking, no peeling, no fade. Independent wash tests show 50+ cycles with less than 3% color shift.

Width. The 30" Wide roll starts at $7.90 and fits small shops. The 70" Wide roll starts at $14.00 and cuts cost per square inch by ~28% on full runs. Both work with our Sublimation Gang Sheet Builder.

We run daily calibrations and hit 94% Pantone coverage. For brand-critical color, order a test strip. If you need exact matches, note it in the order and we’ll flag your job for the press lead.

Orders before 1pm CST ship same day. Standard production is 0-1 business days. Ground shipping is 2-3 days to most US states. Rush options available. We print in-house, so no middleman delays.

Yes, if they’re poly-coated for sublimation. Use a mug press or convection oven with a wrap. Follow the blank’s temp guide — usually 380°F for 200 seconds. Hard goods need longer than shirts.

We reprint at no cost if the error is ours. Snap a photo, email support, and we’ll run it again same day. Our misprint rate is 0.6% across 2025 orders, but we own it when it happens.

Not at all. Upload, drag, rotate, and see live pricing. It locks DPI so you don’t stretch art. You can save projects and re-order in one click. Most users build a 30" Wide sheet in under 4 minutes.
